Orchard

In early 2020, we planted dozens of fruit trees. Primarily apple trees, but apricot, cherry, fig, peach, and paw paw trees as well. We had gotten so much rain in the days and weeks before that some of the trees were planted in ground so saturated that water was standing. The trees had to go in the ground and there was no sign of the rain abating, so we planted them and hoped for the best. And then, mid-summer, we were hit with a drought. We are still hoping for the best – more to come in 2021!
